“We picked up a leaflet left by Andy after one of his previous historical tours. We are both very keen on all things Great War and Andy’s tour leaflet offered us a chance to visit places we were keen to see. When we contacted Andy and told him we both had had relatives in the Great War and wanted a more bespoke tour, he couldn’t have been more helpful. This was different from other tours in the past with other companies in that it was based on our personal targets of regiments, relatives, experiences, graves, and actions they were involved in. The agenda was flexible and suited our needs exactly. Accommodation was top drawer and detailed preparation work based on our needs included family and military records and conflict details all done by Andy ahead of the tour. All round an excellent experience we would strongly recommend.”

“Difficult to put into words how well the tour went, needless to say we both thoroughly enjoyed it, couldn’t find a single fault except we wish it were longer as there is so much more to visit that personally I have never been to. My Great grandad’s sole surviving daughter, Margaret, who is now 94 years old cried for ages when I showed her the folder on her dad. Thank you a million times over.

“My friend and I have just returned from a 5-day tour of the WWI battlefields, cemeteries and memorials. This was hosted in exemplary fashion by Andy and we visited almost 40 locations in that time. Not only did we visit the notable sites, such as The Thiepval Memorial, Lochnagar and the Last Post Ceremony at the Menin Gate, but we also got to see many other sites that are off the beaten track (often inaccessible to coach travellers). This made a rich, varied and valuable tour. The accommodation at the various stopping points was also first  class.
Prior to our trip, Andy also tracked down 2 of my friend’s relatives, of which he had been previously unaware. He then not only took us to the significant sites of these fallen heroes, but provided dossiers on both including service and life records. This is a personal bespoke service, which I cannot imagine being provided by larger tour operators. Andy was also more than happy to include any tour sites, which we specifically wanted to visit. This is flexibility, which I am sure would be appreciated by many.
Both my friend and I were so impressed that we have already discussed potential future trips with Andy, and would recommend his tours to anyone, who is looking for those extra memories that would be hard to find elsewhere.”
